Carson Lee Maynard Born: 6/15/09 6 lbs 12oz 19 1/2 in During the birth of my son Carson I got to experience first-hand how the products that Mercury provides to health care facilities affect the lives of patients and their families. My son was going into distress during his birth and the doctor and nurses made it very clear to my wife that they needed to get the baby out right away because his heart rate and O2 levels were dropping rapidly. We later learned that his umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck twice which was the reason for his distress. When the doctor got my son out, he looked blue and lifeless. My wife and I sat for what seemed like an eternity waiting to hear a cry while the nurses worked on my son. When I hurried over to the station where the nurses were working on my son, I noticed that the nurse was removing a Mercury Medical Hyperinflation system from Carson's face. Carson now has a clean bill of health and is home from the hospital. I have a new appreciation for what we do every day here at Mercury, and I will be forever grateful for the help this company gave to my son to get his life started. Thank you,
